Omschrijving

In this two-day Modern Kintsugi workshop, you’ll discover the Japanese art of restoring broken ceramics using Urushi, a natural Japanese lacquer. Once repaired, the cracks are highlighted with beautiful layers of gold, turning each broken piece into a one-of-a-kind work of art. But Kintsugi is about more than repairing ceramics. Rooted in a philosophy of acceptance and resilience, it invites us to see cracks and imperfections not as something to hide, but as meaningful parts of our story. Rather than erasing the signs of damage, Kintsugi celebrates them, transforming what was once broken into something new, valuable, and beautiful. During the workshop, you’ll work hands-on with the materials and techniques of traditional Kintsugi while exploring the deeper meaning behind this ancient practice. It’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and discover beauty in imperfection. Embrace the cracks. Celebrate the journey. Create something beautiful from what was once broken. Join our Kintsugi workshop and experience the art of restoration as a practice of balance, acceptance, and personal transformation. Practical info: - take a piece ... - an apron? Duration workshop: both days from 10:00 to 12:30 This workshop will be conducted in English and will take place with a minimum of 8. No experience is required.
