During this 3-day Intensive Workshop: Advanced, you will practice alongside Eugene to take your skills to the next level. He will demonstrate advanced techniques and complex forms. The program below serves as a guideline and can be flexibly adapted to each participant’s level. Explore challenging shapes, large amounts of clay, double-walled forms, and multi-part constructions. Push yourself to create intricate and ambitious works. 
Those who wish can trim, fire, and glaze their creations during the open studio days. The regular fee of €1.80 per 100 grams of clay applies.

This workshop is designed for experienced potters who can comfortably center 1.5 to 2 kg of clay. Conducted in English, it is designed as the next step after the 3-Day Intensive Workshop.
 

Workshop dates: August 21 – August 23

 

Group size: Maximum of 12 participants; the workshop will take place with a minimum of 10 participants.​

 

Duration: 3 days, the workshop starts each day at 10:00 and ends at 17:00.

This is including the use of clay, tools, and a healthy lunch/coffee/tea, excluding firing

Program:

Day 1 – Mastering Advanced Throwing
Learn advanced throwing techniques with increased weight and height. Focus on precision, control, and creating structurally stable pieces.
 
Day 2 – Complex Forms & Multi-Part Constructions
Building on the cylinder, we’ll create cones, spheres, and combinations of these forms.
Clay weight will range from 1 to 5 kg depending on the participant.
 
Day 3 – Advanced Demo & Practice
Eugene demonstrates professional techniques including:

  • Large closed forms

  • Multi-section vessels

  • Precision lid systems

  • Sculptural thrown shapes

  • Advanced joining and assembly methods

Participants then create their own advanced pieces with personalized guidance, ensuring every potter reaches their highest potential.
 
Note: The program is flexible. If someone wants to try closed forms or something unique, Eugene will happily do a demo and help to create it.

Note! The masterclass lasts 3 days, but in the system you only book the first day. 

Payment Terms:

  • Within 1 week after receiving your registration confirmation, we will send an email with a payment request. After this email is sent, the full amount must be paid within 2 weeks. An invoice can of course be requested after payment. To request an invoice, please email pottenbakken@peetcrmcs.com

  • Cancellations of masterclasses and multi-day workshops are only refunded in the form of a credit voucher. These vouchers are valid for 2 years and cannot be extended.

    • Participation may be cancelled up to 4 weeks prior to the workshop. An administrative fee of €20 will be deducted. The remaining balance will be issued as a credit for a future purchase.

    • For cancellations between 4 weeks and 1 week prior to the start date, 50% will be refunded in the form of a credit voucher.

    • For cancellations within 7 days of the start date, no refund will be given in any form. It is, of course, always possible to send a substitute if you are unable to attend. In that case, please contact us no later than 2 days prior to the first day of the workshop.
